As glass and light dance, follow the journey with me through color, texture and designs in glass.
I began my journey with art forty years ago with clay. As my path in life meandered through classrooms of children, my heart was still drawn to the arts. In 2007, I found new learning opportunities in the mountains of North Carolina. I was drawn to the history and tradition of Face Jugs. I took classes at Campbell Folk School and found my passion grew stronger. By 2011, another move to the Lowcountry of South Carolina opened new doors.
Life changes and as way leads on to way, I decided to leave my education career behind and pursue my dream. Working as the Artist Liaison for the South Carolina Artisans Center provided new experiences and friendships with like minded artists. I was not alone on this journey! In 2017, I took a stained glass class and have since blended the skill sets from clay and kiln with glass work and have immersed myself into the world of fused glass.
In January 2020, I took a leap of faith and moved to Southport, North Carolina. The studio is set up and I work almost daily cutting, fusing and creating. This is now how I make my living!
